Cancer brings more than a diagnosis. It brings unfamiliar language, emotional strain, constant appointments, and pressure to keep up before you’ve had time to process what’s happening.
Most people receive information from multiple specialists and are expected to absorb it quickly, without space to ask questions or slow things down.
I believe every person deserves space to ask questions, better understand what’s happening, and move through the cancer experience feeling more informed, prepared, and supported.
Clear information can make the unknown feel a little less overwhelming. Having someone in your corner can make it easier to navigate what comes next.
My work is rooted in both clinical experience and human connection.
I’ve worked across inpatient oncology, outpatient oncology management, survivorship planning, and complex care navigation. I’ve supported individuals facing new diagnoses, rare cancers, treatment complications, and the transition into life after treatment.
Throughout my work, one pattern became clear: people are often expected to participate in complex conversations and make sense of large amounts of information without enough time to fully process what they’re hearing.
Northbound Roots was created to help fill that gap with dedicated education, navigation, preparation, and support that works alongside your oncology team, not in place of it.
